Overview
The Faculty of Health Sciences is the largest faculty of the University and offers eight programmes: Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Midwifery, Public Health, Human Nutrition, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, and Radiography and Medical Imaging. It prepares the allied health professionals on whom the Somali health system depends, combining a strong basic-science foundation with extensive practical training in the University skills laboratories and supervised placement in the teaching hospital, health centres and communities. Every programme concludes with a research project and a period of supervised professional practice.
