Al Hayat Medical University (AMU) offers medical and health professional education in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Midwifery.

Al Hayat Medical University (AMU) is a higher education institution specializing in medical and health sciences. It was established in January 2016 in Mogadishu, Somalia, by a team of medical professionals committed to delivering high-quality medical and health science education. The university offers a curriculum tailored to meet the learning needs and aspirations of Somali students. 

The newly established AMU Research Institute for Precision Medicine will advance an interdisciplinary research program focused on addressing the growing and complex challenges confronting healthcare providers in Somalia. The Institute will promote innovative research in precision medicine to improve disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes through evidence-based and contextually relevant approaches.

Al Hayat Medical University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Camuud University

The purpose of this agreement is to strengthen research collaboration, knowledge exchange, and all aspects of academic engagement. The agreement, signed at Camuud University's headquarters in Borama, was executed by Khadar Nur Mohamed, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Al Hayat Medical University, and Dr. Mohamed Muse Jabril, Vice-Chancellor of Camuud University.
